Developing Design Specifications

Design specifications are critical for a successful LED lighting project. If our customers have not established a way to clearly communicate its expectations for a project, there is virtually no chance their expectations will be met. Design specifications establish a way to compare “apples-to-apples”, and also set minimum performance requirements for both the new lighting system and the company implementing the project.

Southpoint has worked with numerous customers to develop written design specifications. We educate our customer on the important metrics for evaluating the quality of a lighting design, and then help place those expectations in writing. Once they are established, the written design specifications can be applied to every facility the customer owns to ensure consistently high performance across all their properties.
